Sorry for my ignorance, but what was the violation? The video camera? It was a nice landing though.

I am sure that Citation Shares dosent want their FO's filming on short final, probably rather have them doing their job. But not sure if the FAA would find it illegal.

I'm sure they could violate you under 91.13

Please define "I'm sure they could violate."

Please indicate sustainable chapter and verse, otherwise, please: "less noise, ace." Listening...

You're kidding right? Try doing this stunt on a checkride and see if you pass. Read FAR 91.13 and it should be obvious.

I'll bet some of you people could probably figure out how to take the fun out of masturbation with just a tad more effort.

God forbid someone actually still enjoys their job and does something geeky like film the landing. I'd trade with him in a heartbeat ... my office job for the right seat of an Excel ... violation and all. :erm:

Doubt if any Fed gives a big RA. But, if one was so inclined it would be a simple matter to make 91.13 stick. If it was a 135 flight, 135.100 would also be charged.

Why is this situation getting noticed, and not the 100's of other cockpit videos that are out there?

Tail number & names on video, not very smart. While the feds might not care, I'm sure CS shares pays their pilots to fly not to video their flying. I would expect a carpet dance soon.

Cause most if not all of the other 100's of videos were made from the jumpseat or by a non-required right seater. Jumpseats are hard to find in an Excel and the right seater is a required crewmember.

Yep, I hope that their cheif dosent see this vid.

The original poster is a toolbox for posting this.

If you saw a video that might result in a carpet dance, I hope to god you had better judgement than to post it on here. Granted, it is on the internet already, but you just added one more avenue which could result in punishment for these pilots.

I hope I never fly with you, lest my comment about how a cloud looks like a vagina below 10,000 gets posted on flightinfo.

You never should have posted this.

I'd do your husband's job for half his rate...heck, a quarter if the schedule is good and I have home basing.

I just need turboject PIC time to move on to the majors.

I'm a tool box?

You sound like a scab.

I have seen a few of those as well, usually happens four days into a five day trip when I am really "missing" the lady at home, she has one that looks just like a cloud.

you call that a videa...how about filming a lear 60 landing. its landing speeds are probably equivalent to vmo on that excel or should i say twin cessna

I'd ask the FED to hold the camera.

Have taken video in multi-plane formation while 4 ft away from other aircraft with unrated student pilots at the controls of all aircraft. MARSA...
Were they Cherokee 140s? In northern IN?

I guess the lesson here is:

1. If you are going to be dumb enough to run your camcorder during a critical phase of flight dont do it on a checkride or with pax on board.

2. Resist the stupid urge to show your n-number in the video.

3. Resist the other stupid urge to say, "Great Job _________ (insert capt.s name, license number and address.)"

4. Whatever you do, if your forget the above, DO NOT POST on a public website.

5. If all else fails, keep copies of your resume's and a pile of self addressed stamped envelopes for immediate broadcast should management find out you violated any number of FAR's.

The end.
