How to find flight instructors

Is there a website to search for CFI's that live within a specific geographic location?

Nothing universal. There are a couple of sites that have CFI registrations and therefore searches. ft.aopa.org is one gleim.com has one also.

Or, you can do a Google search for flight instruction or flight training and name the geographic area.

Thanks, it seem's like those sites have CFI's that are registered in those sites. No way to check on FAA's website?

I don't know if you're looking for a flight school or a free lance instructor, but if you go to www.beapilot.com they have a nationwide flight school search.

I am in the process of starting a career program at my flight school so i'm hunting for good qualified instructors who want to work. Can't look for free lance instructors.

Search databas

Yeah there is a great site you can use to search many parameters such as FAA region, City, State, etc. by the type of certificate and rating you're looking for. It will only display their address though. Go to www.landings.com and scroll to the bottom of the page, click on search which will then take you to another page, click on pilots, and then use the advanced search function and that is the one you can use to search multiple parameters.
