I know this is the interview forum, but I can't find a better place to put this thread.

There is not much info on how to be a DADE. All I get from the FAA website is to make 3 mock practical tests and pay $1644. Anyone know more about this?

Do you think it's worthy to be a DADE? Any insight??

you have to invited to be one...

It's like becoming the chief of some 3rd world tribe... you don't apply, you are asked by the elders to be one.

catch my drift? Or am I being obtuse?
