Fellow pilots ...

It seems that some regionals such as ComAir will do the hiring internally through their flight school ... Does this mean that I should forget about sending them a resume?

My next question is, Which of the following methods should I use to apply to the regionals (I do not know anyone inside):

1) Through their web site (like Mesaba)
2) Mailing the resume to HR
3) Faxing the Resume
4) Dropping in

Thank you in advance,
Capt.

Captnmayday,

CMR new hire classes are about 3-1 off the street vs DCI Academy grads. IOW, more are direct hires than academy grads. Having said that IMO the best way to get CMR's attention is to attend one of the Air Inc conferences with resume in hand. Love or hate K. Darby there have been more success stories from the conferences than by just sending CMR a resume. The whole reason CMR attends the conferences is to hand out interviews. I myself have tried to get 4 people interviews at CMR by personally delivering their resumes to HR with my LOR attached. So far, only 1 has gotten an interview that way (he was hired). It's really tough out there but this board has several folks that got CMR interviews by attending an Air Inc event. Give it a try. I think it's the best option right now. I would still send or deliver a resume directly to HR though and keep it updated.

FWIW Eagle and CoEx are also beginning to hire again.

Good luck.
