But the problem DOES seem to be with her religion which she claims forbids her to show her face on a license. The problem that people (who you condescedingly refer to as simpletons ) have with cases like this, is that it appears more and more people are so dam# afraid to offend anyone that cases like this which would have been laughed out of court 10 or 20 years ago, are becoming common. This is affecting our culture greatly overall and in this case affects security and safety, not only when she drives, but also when she tries to use the ID as identifiation trying to board an aircraft. If she is allowed to use an ID with a veil over her face it sets a precedent which would allow Muslims to sneak by security with no physical identification. So yes, this form of political correctness or trying not to offend anyone no matter how ludicrous the case does in fact lead to heightened danger. And yes, Al Quada is still a threat in case you have already forgotten 9/11.
