How many legs do you guys usually work per day? Is it different depending on AC?
DAY 1: Airline 1 leg on AA.
DAY 2: Flew one leg empty.
DAY 3: Flew 2 empty legs, 2 owner legs and BROKE
DAY 4: Sat around the hotel waiting for rig repair.
DAY 5: Flew 1 empty leg and 2 owner legs.
DAY 6: Flew 1 empty leg and 2 owner legs.
DAY 7: Flew 1 empty leg then 1 owner leg then 1 ferry leg and BROKE.
Stayed out to get some extra cash...
DAY 8: Limo'd to an airport. Airlined to another airport for a trip the next day. Airline flight was delayed, got in too late, trip given away.
DAY 9: Airlined home. Home by 12 noon.
Good lord. And they wonder why they are hemorrhaging cash.
6 day tour, day 6 was an extended day (Hard Day Off I voluntered to work):
Day 1: Airline 1 leg, ferry 1 leg then break 1 hour before pax show up.
Day 2: Hotel Standby waiting for jet to be fixed.
Day 3: ferry, 2 pax legs (same pax), ferry. Trying to ignore mx problem related to day 1.
Day 4: fly pax leg, supposed to ferry for more pax legs but can no longer ignore mx problem. Ferry to Service Center.
Day 5: Hotel Standby. Late in day Captain is used to crew a different jet.
Day 6: broke jet, no Captain. Drive rental car home, in the door by 1pm. (Cha-Ching!)

Is this typical? I can see how this is great ("Cha-Ching!") for the union, but it just doesn't seem healthy for the company over the long term, 3 pax legs in 6 days.
