How many hours do you fly?

I believe fractional pilots have typically averaged between 400 to 450 hours of flying per year over the last 15 years or so. I'm pretty sure that number will be trending higher as all the fractionals get more efficient at scheduling. My personal numbers have been trending severely down over the last couple of years after reading a post in which the majority were complaining about working more and more and being wiped out for days after going home between tours. The best reply I've ever read (I took it to heart) was, "They can only work you as hard as you let them." Basically, if you are working that hard you are flying sick, fatigued, and/ or broken airplanes willingly and illegally and you deserve to work that hard if you don't have enough backbone to pull the plug. I may have to butt heads with some co-workers from time to time, but I don't go home eexhausted or fly illegally.
