I am not too familiar with this side of the business. Let's say that you fly a Hawker 800XP for a private owner who then decides to engage EJM (provide the aircraft during idle time). What happens next when an aircraft is managed by EJM?
1. Are the pilots then strictly managed (paid, trained, benefits, etc.) by EJM or does the owner set rates?
2. If EJM does pay the pilots, are there pay rates set according to aircraft type?
2. Do the pilots wear EJM uniforms for 135 flights?
3. What involvement does EJM have with the pilots over time? Are management pilots involved?
4. With extra flying hours under the charter agreement with EJM, do most owners have to hire additional pilots for their aicraft (if it flies a lot) or does EJM provide extra pilots to cover? Who handles the hiring/training?
5. How do most EJM pilots view their relationship with EJM? Would they prefer a traditional part 91 relationship with fewer flight hours (assuming owner can continue to afford the aircraft) or does EJM provide more structure?
