I am not too familiar with this side of the business. Let's say that you fly a Hawker 800XP for a private owner who then decides to engage EJM (provide the aircraft during idle time). What happens next when an aircraft is managed by EJM?

1. Are the pilots then strictly managed (paid, trained, benefits, etc.) by EJM or does the owner set rates?

2. If EJM does pay the pilots, are there pay rates set according to aircraft type?

2. Do the pilots wear EJM uniforms for 135 flights?

3. What involvement does EJM have with the pilots over time? Are management pilots involved?

4. With extra flying hours under the charter agreement with EJM, do most owners have to hire additional pilots for their aicraft (if it flies a lot) or does EJM provide extra pilots to cover? Who handles the hiring/training?

5. How do most EJM pilots view their relationship with EJM? Would they prefer a traditional part 91 relationship with fewer flight hours (assuming owner can continue to afford the aircraft) or does EJM provide more structure?

EJM works per-account from what i've seen. Every account is a little different.
Some bad some reeeallllyyy good, like one plane five pilots all domestic unlimited expenses. Others I've seen are one plane two pilots lots of flying...

Most are paid by the owner, and have an agency agreement with EJM. They do have training requirments including survival training. Most things are owner determined.

How are these previous lease back agreements working with the new A008 Ops Spec on Operational Control? Can an owner who does a lease back with a charter operator still dictate that his crew is used exclusively when the plane is flown under the charter operators certificate? Who pays the crews - NetJets or the owner? Obviously the owner's crews has to be trained and tested according to the NetJets/charter program. What determines the transfer of Operational Control when the plane goes back to the owner for a period of time? Is there a document that is signed? Or is it possible for the owner to take back Operational Control? Or does the charter operator still have effective Operational Control even when the owner is occupying the plane?
