I'm looking for some advice from someone who may have been here before. I interviewed with Airtran last spring and about a month later received a rejection letter from Jill. She invited me to reapply in six months so here I am. Trouble is, I have no idea how to restart the process. They don't return telephone or email inquiries (I'm sure they're swamped) and my hope is that I don't have to start over from the very beginning. It took over a year for my resume to get noticed the first time and before I start bothering my friends for LOR's, I'd like to know if this is even worth pursuing. Has Airtran ever hired anyone who was previously rejected? I'd love to work for this company, but their lack of feedback can be more than a little frustrating sometimes. Anyone have any words of wisdom?

Thanks in advance,
K.I.

a good friend of mine about 3 years ago also got rejected. He kept trying and with myletter of rec.(not sure if it helped) but almost exactly a year later he got hired.

So yes keep trying talk to your friends and send in your resume again. Yes they are swamped but hopefully they will return your email or call you for a interview.

good luck

The best thing to do is to just keep sending your updated resume in like every two weeks. Also, have the person who gave you a reccommendation shoot stephanie an email or phone call to let her know you are re-applying. I had a friend who interviewed here and was rejected only to get a phone call about a month later asking him to come back and interview again. From what I've seen, the whole process is very unorganized. Just keep sending your stuff in and another interview will come.
