Hey Guys/Gals,
The reason I am posting this on the Frac site is that Frac flyers fly the most varied group of aircraft such as excels, falcon 50, G200 etc.
I am researching a new aircraft for our company. One of the criteria that we have is to be able to go from North Las Vegas (VGT) to Georgetown,TX (GTU) with 4 pax all year. Both of these airports have 5000 foot strips and VGT is 2100 ft MSL. For the sake of argument, let's limit the temperature to 104 degrees F (40degrees C).
Can anyone that flies a Falcon50, Challenger 600 or 601, G200 or any other plane, figure out this performance and see if this can be done. I've talked to aircraft sales reps and searched the web, but would appreciate an honest answer from someone that flies the plane regularly.
I certainly appreciate your time and effort. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a salesperson, but you're not gonna beat the Challenger 300 on a mission like that.

Ok, a Beechjet or 400xp isn't a option. Runway may be a tad short for the G200.

With 4 pax an XLS would do the job. Soverign or the Challenger 300 would be another option.

Won't buy some that Grob thing, though. Part support and etc would be a problem.

Challenger 300

CL30 under those conditions (DRY, 4 Pax+200lbs, 40C, 5000ft. at 2100 ft.PA):

Flaps10 = 2+30 or 1100nm (no wind) with 1 hr. reserve
Flaps20 = 3+15 or 1450nm (no wind) with 1 hr. reserve

Cruise at .80M at F410. You could probably stretch it out a few more miles at F450 and .76M, but why would you want to fly that slow...hehe.;)

Just tell your boss not to be a dumba$$ and fly out of LAS instead.

Frax

Thanks for the input. One of the tasks assigned to me was to see what aircraft was capable of doing this mission. One reason for VGT was the offices are located adjacent to the field. I had an idea the Challenger 300 would be in the picture.
Does anyone have any info on older aircraft, such as an early 90's Falcon 50, 900?
Thanks again for your help.
