Especially since they assign the aircraft to you when you start, and it takes forever to have the seniority to change, its a good policy. Otherwise some snot nosed kid whose father knows someone would be getting jet pay while it would take 4 years for someone on the 200 to finally even have the oppurtunity to bid for the jet. If they dumped that part of the policy they would have to dump how difficult it is to change aircraft so that the higher seniority f/o's end up on the jet and the noobs go to the 200.
