Hi all,

I just begun my job hunt, just wondering if any current pilot in horizon air has any info regarding QOL, pay, routes, upgrade and company stability.

thank you

I have a couple of friends who were hired by Horizon in 1991. They've liked it so much that they never seriously pursued leaving to fly for a Major airline. They're both Dash-8-400 Captains now.

That's why the upgrade is much longer than most regionals, a lot of pilots stay because it's an excellent airline to have a career at.

Hey CRJ 2008, Horizon requires 1000TT, 200 multi. Bases are SEA, PDX, and DEN. Hiring is into the jet and Dash 400. You'll be on reserve for probably the first year give or take. $28 per hour to start with a 75 hour/month minimum. Routes are all over and schedules aren't going to be any different whichever regional you go to.
