Hey everyone,

As you may recall, next week is the anniversary of the Colgan Air accident that took the lives of our bros Steve and Scott. I'll be in BOS and HYA, and I wanted to see if anyone was interested in having a brew. I know Chprplt was interested, and it sure would be great to see the rest of you guys if you're going to be off.
Nothing somber, just a chance to get together, celebrate the fellas, and cut-up a little. Let me know what your thoughts are...
If you can't make it, take a second on Thursday, 26 Aug 04, to reflect. Peace and safe flying to all!

Best regards,

Jason

Thank you Jason

Jason:

Thank you for posting your message. It's hard to believe that a year has passed already. This year has been absolutely horrendous. Time has continued to move on as it always does, but for those closest to Steve and Scott, time is also standing still. We work everyday to keep their memories alive and to go on as they would have wanted all of us to do.

Personally, I want to thank everyone who has contacted me over this past year just to check in and see how Scott's family and I are doing. It's easy to see why all of you were his friends. Now I feel that you are my friends too.

To everyone on this forum...please continue to keep Steve and Scott in your prayers, along with their families and friends.

God bless Steve and God bless Scott...forever.

Yo Jason,
Hows it goin man. I've been really busy lately. Finally off reserve now I have a crappy line. 4 and 5 days on and 2 days off all month.....aaaahhhh the joy of being junior again. I wish I could be there on the 26th, but I have a trip and I get to spend that night in Evansville, IN. I was just thinking about Scott and Steve a few days ago when I was filling out the log can in the plane and realized that the 26th was less than a week away. In some ways it feels like it just happened yesterday and in other ways it seems like it happend years ago. I will definately have a brew salute in Evansville that night though. And finally to Scott and Steves family hopefully you all can use the 26th to remember all of the good times like the time me and some other Colgan buddies went trick or treating to Steves room in training.

Jay

Jay, if you are going to be around for the weekend Friday or later give me a call. I will PM you my new cell #. This year has gone too fast.

Hey buddy I could probably make it up on the friday if you're still gonna be around BOS then. Would love to catch up.

The first one is on me!

Alright boys,

Dang good to hear your voices, and it would be even better to see you guys! What do you fellas have a hankering for? Black Rose? Bell in Hand Tavern? You name it- this thread is taking suggestions!!!
Let's see if we can't make this work, guys!

By the way, you don't have to be a former Colganinte to come out to see us (though I'm not sure where we're going to be yet...) Anyone reading the post is welcome to attend.

Anyone heard from Chprplt?

Jason

One more thing... Since I started this thread last week, and it's now next week, I want to make sure everybody knows that I am talking about this week- the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th of August... The city is BOS or HYA, and the establishment is open for suggestions.

Regards,

Jason

I don't know you guys nor did I know Steve and Scott. I wanted to express to you all that I really respect all of you for not forgetting your friends and staying strong. I wish you all the best and a safe trip home...

Take care,

Justino

Hey guys,

Wish I could be there, but I'm up here in PRC(or down here, depending on how you look at it). Have one for me...

One of Scott's fav. places to go in HYA was to Sam Diego's. He came in many a night and would ask me to join him for a bite to eat. I now wish I had joined him more often.

Have one for me.

Bubbles

Glad to see that you guys are going to get together ...I wish I could join you guys, but my schedule says I actually get to fly

Hope you guys are all doing well, have a drink for me too!

My thoughts and prayers to Lisa, Scotts fam, and Steve's fam always and especially during this next week.

PS I don't think I'll ever forget that night on the beach for the fly-by...thanks to they guys who coordinated to put that together, and for those who flew it.

Hey everyone!

Okay, everybody, it seems as if either Thursday or Friday night is going to be best, the 26th and/or the 27th. And, so far, BOS seems to be the easiest. So, that said, I vote for either Black Rose which is just next to the Aquarium T Station, or Bell In Hand Tavern, which is just up the street from Fanieul Hall. Either way, they're both close to Logan, and they're both cool places to hang and get lit...
Since I will be traveling up to BOS soon, you're welcome to call me at (682) 465-4070, as it may take me some time to respond to PMs. I'll look forward to seeing all of you guys there (or wherever anyone else decides), and if you can't make it- well then think of the guys on Thursday the 26th...

Take care and fly safe,

Jason

I'll be thinking of Scott on Thursday.

One year later and I still can't believe my friends are gone.

I think back to the many laughs I got to share with both of them and am truly lucky I had the privileged to have been their friend. I was blessed to have spent the entire summer with them on the cape before the accident.

They will always be missed.

Hey Jason and everyone - I can't believe it's been a year already. I put in a memorial in Newsday our Long Island paper for Steve, there is a place to send messages to him if anyone wants to. www.newsday.com
Just scroll down to obits, scroll the box in the middle with his name and hit it, you'll come up to guest book.

Hope everyone is good.
