PSA announced this week they are going to hire 210 pilots by the end of the year. 1500TT 200M ATP. Go tho the website and email resume.

What is the upgrade time now, I know guys that have been there almost 4 years and are still not typed in the dork.

The last upgrade class was 10/02, the most junior pilot in there being me, at two years. I don't think there is any realistic way of predicting future upgrade time due to J4J and an unknown number of total aircraft to be delivered.

Also, according to the company memo regarding the 210 new-hires, it said that the only method for applying right now is by internal recommendation from current pilots. Not that it's set in stone, that's just what it said.

Is there any kind of preferential hiring for the ALG/PDT guys and gals? I hope so...looks like their days are numbered.

I, like all low-time pilots, would love to get on at PSA (or anywhere), but I dont think we deserve it compared to somebody who's been abused by U while busting their hump in the Dash for a while.

Just my uninformed $.02

Word on the street over here says that PSA won't hire ALG or PDT guys due to our "attrition" problem with guys bailing like crazy.

"Hey were doing away with your job but now you have no chance of getting a job where we are hiring", another day another kick in the balls for an ALG/PDT pilot.
