Do any of you current SW guys or gals know how former employees are treated with respect to the interview and hiring process? Preferences, that sort of thing? I spent 4 years working at the G.O. before getting right with God and getting back in the cockpit and am finally about to meet the mins.

I'm not sure what you mean about getting right with GOD and back into a cockpit. If you left the GO for legit/understandable reasons I would guess you would have a leg up on the competition. If you left because Company X paid $5 more an hour than SWA but later went bankrupt, you were entering rehab, you were asked to leave, etc, I would say you have an uphill battle. Who better to hire than someone who really wants to work at SWA, and has seen the inner workings of the company from a different perspective?

Good luck.

As Kelbill said, it depends on the circumstances surrounding your leaving. If you left on good terms, and were honest with SWA, then I think it would be an asset.
