I've seen this stuff in afew catalogs and it looks interesting. Anyone have any comment on which colors would be best in a plane with the red light going? I'm a fairly new pilot so I don't have tons of night flight yet, so I don't quite have the color thing figured out. :)

I had a student who used it. It was inconvenient because it was difficult to read airport info or VOR box FSS frequencies through it, and it was tough to mark checkpoints with tape. At night it was useless, especially the pink tape. It usually ended up in a big ball by the end of the flight.

You might just try it on one cross country to see if you like it. Or if the tape has a matte finish you could put it on the map then draw your line on the tape, that would save your sectional.

Erasable highliters work better, but still not perfect.
