Great organization, fun training. $7380 (last year's rate). You will receive 2 Boeing manuals, study questions, additional systems study material when they receive your deposit ($400). Course takes 14-15 days, 10 days systems, 5 sim training sessions, 2 hr checkride. Southwest HR visits Thursday or Friday the first week of systems. They discuss Southwest's hiring outlook, interview process, etc. HPA takes the class to the Rangers stadium for lunch during the second week.

Instructors are from American (American's Academy is 10 minutes away), HPA uses FlightSafety's sims at DFW. Training is on the -200. A few students were offered the -300 as there was available slots. The differences class is less than a day. I would have taken the -300 sim, but I could not due to my schedule at my current job.

HPA is very accomodating if you have scheduling issues. Due to the structured ground school, I was able to attend the first 6 days of ground and come back in a few weeks to finish days 7-10, sim training and the checkride.

Study the materials you receive. You'll take a test when you arrive (to see if you looked at the material). Otherwise, have fun

Good Luck,

Thanks for the info, sounds like a nice place to train, now just gotta see if I have enough of the GI Bill left to pay for it.
