Just got a job flying a Meridian, I have no high altitude training but will get it during training in a few weeks. Any suggested reading prior to going?

Depends of who is doing it. Most high altitude training I've accomplished has been a non-event...just go over high altitude physiology, some aerodynamics (dutch roll, stall margins, etc), and pressurization. I can't remember ever taking a formal test, but there may have been a quiz that wasn't anything other than to see if you stayed awake.

Now, if you wanted some reading just to have a better understanding here is a good AC

It is mostly geared to a more high speed regime, but has some good info none the less.

Thanks for the info I will hit the chamber think they have one at Tyndall Did you fly for Ram?

The list says they still have one in Florida, although call ahead, the military chambers go up and down because of maintenance with little notice. And yea, I'm still at RAF, flying away...
