CO-PILOT IN TRAINING (GM AIR TRANSPORTATION SERVICE - LOCATION: ROMULUS, MI)
General Purpose of Position:
Assist the Captain Pilot in the operation of corporate-owned aircraft and assume the duties if the Captain Pilot should become incapacitated. Work is generally of a professional, difficult and involved nature with a high level of independent judgment.
Work duties involve a considerable amount of accuracy, skill and coordination.
-Plans the flight, inspects the aircraft and studies the weather for a trip.
-Checks the MEL for the aircraft which is scheduled to be flown.
-Completes any necessary evaluation reports.
-Pilots aircraft as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual.
-Regular contacts with others outside work group.
-Adheres to security and safety standards in the use of aircraft
Valid (US) Commercial Pilot License with appropriate aircraft ratings issued by the FAA.
PREFERRED: College Degree
Ability to relate to all levels of management effectively.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
-High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
-Valid Instrument Rating.
-Multi-engine Rating.
-Possess a First Class FAA Medical Certificate - No Waivers.
-Valid Restricted Radio-Telephone License issued by the FCC.
-Total Flight Time - 3,000 hours minimum
-Total Multi-engine Time - 500 hours minimum
-Total Turbine/Jet Time - 500 Hours minimum
-Thorough knowledge of aircraft being flown.
-Accuracy in performing mental, manual and physical operations involving considerable coordinated performance.
-Hold a valid U.S. Passport
PREFERRED:
- ATP License
- Working knowledge of basic computer software
Plans the flight, inspects the aircraft and studies the weather for a trip; Checks the MEL for the aircraft which is scheduled to be flown; Completes any necessary evaluation reports; Pilots aircraft as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual; Regular contacts with others outside work group; Adheres to security and safety standards in the use of aircraft.
