Rediculous salary!

I was making $25,000 as a FAR 135 Charter Cessna 414 Captain back in 1993!!! Even at a VERY paltry 2% annual inflation rate, that salary would be equivalant to $31,080 today which is 29.5% higher than what this guy is offering! At a more realistic 3% annual inflation rate my salary would be equivalent to $36,605 today, which is 52.5% higher than what this guy is offering!

I know a guy that has about 700 total, He flyies a Cirrus 4 days a week for a company.

His Salery? 40K per year + Benefits for him and his Family.

24k for a single pilot corporate/aircraft manager is pathetic.

I'm sure the stooges will be falling all over themselves for the position though.

Operators like this do need to keep in mind that they truly get what they pay for.

There are a bunch of places that pay that kind of money for jet pilots also...

Unfortunately, none of them have trouble finding pilots.

Actually, now that I think about it name a regional airline that pays much more than that for the first year. And no, don't count per diem as pay either when you answer that question. IT IS NOT PAY!!! I can't stand it when people add per diem to their hourly rate and artificially inflate what they're making.

Any way you slice it, SAD...

What is going on???

In 1986/7 I was making 35K flying a Navajo part 91.

Is this what I can expect when I'm released from my current gig??

Yep. The really sad thing about that job is that the pilot is also performing the tasks of an entire flight department, not just flying. With this job, it seems that you get to be the full-time biatch.
