This hands down takes the cake for the longest METAR I've ever read. Just pulled this up about 15 minutes ago while doing a weather briefing.


Anyone tell me what the "UP" means?

Sure haven't, just a little over a 1,000 hours my 4,000 hour friend.

However, I should've prefaced that with "the longest segment" that I've ever read. Not necesarily the METAR as a whole. :)
 
I'm just given you sh!t man.. Take a look at some METARS from the upper midwest and north east as winter progresses. You'll see some pretty long stuff there.
