I am in a master's course through Embry Riddle and I have a paper due this week on a corporate flight department. I am a military man and have no idea how to find phone numbers of flight departments. I've been to a ton of company websites, looking for flight department information, but not surpisingly, I didn't find anything.

Is anybody out there willing to answer some questions about their flight department for me, or able to help me find a way to contact a flight department?

Thank you

Embry Riddle is a member of the NBAA. As such, you should be able to get access to the membership listing available on-line on NBAA's website. Check with Embry Riddle administration about getting their membership ID in order to sign up for the members side of the website, and access to this information.

Thank you...

Sir

I just got on the NBAA, through Embry Riddle. I have found the list of companies registered, listing their home bases, aircraft and company contact info. Is it proper in this industry to shoot out emails to some of these chief pilot's asking them about their departments, or would that come across as rude?

Thank you

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your writing directly to the heads of the departments you've been able to find. The worst that can happen is that they are going to ignore you. But I'll bet you that most will be happy to assist in your quest for information. Good luck.

You could try Procter & Gamble out of KLUK. The managers use to have ties to ERAU and even had an internship in the early 90's. I don't know if it is still the same people but they have one of the best Dept's in the country and once strong ties with ERAU.

Good luck with the Masters.

Also you can try the Ulumni directory. There is a mentor section that lists career fields and contact info.

PM me if you need any more info.
