I just came home and what do I find? A call from Great Lakes for an interveiw. I now have a day and a half to prepare and a 3 hour drive ahead of me. What do I take and what do I need exept a bad case of nerves. Thanks in advance.

P.S. All because a 1900 crew almost ran me over in ALS on the taxiway, life is full of surprizes.

I don't know about GLs, but the quickest
thing that will cover lots of material is
to go over your ATP test guide. know
some weather, (stages of thunderstorms,
that visability is controlling, how to read
plates, etc...the front of the jepps, the
introduction area has a wealth of info).

Wear your best suit and get a haircut,
and don't try to b.s. them.

That is just general advice. I don't know
about them specifically, but do a search
as I have seen some posts about them
before.

And if you don't get the job there, it will
be good practice for somewhere else!

On every interview I attended I always brought 3 copies of everything.

Pilot Certificates
Medical
Resume
Letters of Reference
anything else you might want to show

This is so that during the interview if someone asks to see something, you should be able to produce a copy for each of the people conducting an interview. Also, wear a white shirt and red tie. This is not a fashion show, they want to see you are cut from pretty much the same mold as other pilots. I'ts ok to be nervous, it is actually a good thing to be a little nervous, it shows them you want the job. But everytime they ask you a question, take a small breath and take time giving your answer.

Good advice from TWA 2 ASA FO. Also since you'll be flying in the Rockies, KNOW about turbulence and windshear. Good luck.

T206driver,
How did it go?

Aviation Interviews is a good site

The three key areas that they will look for

1) Jepp app plates and enroute charts

2) Hr questions, ie how would you react to this and that

3) Can I sit next to this person for a month without want to kill them

good luck...

Please see new thread

At least NOS charts eplain there symbology. jepps yuck. {;ease see new thread.

if you buy a jepp express pack to study, it will come with charts that will explain all the symbols, once you get use to them jepps are much easier to use, at least in my opinion

$$$$

You don't know how poor a skydive pilot can be. The operative function here is to BUY the charts in a package I haven't had that option since I have childeren to raise. Thanks for the input anyway.
