Hi I am looking for any one who can help me with some tips for regionals. I need to know what is the most efficient method to send my resume fax, email, or regular mail? I've been using fax and email and nobody never called me. And what are the chances for somebody living in Louisiana with +7000 hrs total and + 5000 multi be selected for an interview? Please I don't need discouraging comments I need some serious help to keep my sanity and optimism.
Thank you and GOD bless us all.

As a former MU pilot, I'll try to answer that. With the aircraft you list on your profile, the resume status is probably the same as it was when you were flying the big stuff. Each regional has it's own way of doing things, I would first search the websites of the interested company's and go from there.

Ahhh another selectee for the
twelve step program for airplane
addicts!!! That is a joke, not a
disparaging remark!!!

In the current situation, with way
too many pilots on the street you
really need to know someone to
walk your resume in.

With your total time, you probably
know that not all aviation businesses
are run equally. So be careful where
you go...getting what you want is
a lot different than having a flying
job, and there are a great sufficiency
of less than reputable operators out
there!

Good luck!

Use all three!
Email it, Fax it and Mail it. It can't hurt... Do you have a green card or citizenship? With all that time and experience, have you tried the majors as well? It's worth a shot I think. Still, belchfire is right, the chances increase exponentially when you know someone.

Boa sorte, manteim o optimismo!

A couple of things...

Do you have a flying job now?

Why do you want to go to a regional?

Sorry that only two of us have responded...

Ok everyone I'll try to answer all.
I am dual citizen Brazilian/American. I've been living here for almost 3 years. I already flew for one of FEDEX feeder's and because they were a kind of very small company and family owned and operated they didn't wnat to upgrade a foreign born after 9/11 and decide to hire captains direct from the street with less than 3000 tt. Disapointed I quit got another job flying a c340 and another one (my current) flying a malibu and an MU2 the salary is good but fly a lot 70 to 80 hours a month, I know regionals fly like that but they do have 10 days off a month or more and on the corporate field 70 to 80 hours a month means flying on weekends and night etc. So I have been out of day offs. Major only look at your resume if you have BS degree, mine is on course but not completed yet. Nationals like Air tran have 121 PIC time as minimum requirement and I don't have it. Fly for regionals besides the salary be worst than I am making now I'll have benefits like health insurance and traveling plus 401k. I have 2 kids and wife don't have anything because nobody on corporate give any benefit, at least not where I am living.
I guess I cover all questions
