Hi!

Just got an offer from Pinnacle. I have a family with 4 children and really wondering about QOL at Pinnacle. I was wondering if someone could PM me with the PDF file containing the lines at the different bases to see what days off, etc. look like. How far up you have to get up the seniority list to get a decent amount of time off. Thanks for your help. This is a huge decision for our family and your help is appreciated!

Realistic point of view so don't be offended.

Once the last jet gets onto property dont expect any movement. If you're not from one of the 3 domiciles, think long and hard if you want to become a commuter with max of 10 days off. Contract negotiations won't be a picnic either. I like it here but I've given up a lot to be here. Think it over. Especially with a wife and kids. And if you're one of the street CA's you will be riding the pine for a mighty long time.

Our bid packs comes out on the 15th, and if when it comes available, pm me.

As Rook says, QOL sucks considerably if you're at the bottom of the totem pole. Luckily, I hope you don't have to deal with airport reserve anymore (we stopped doing that a couple months ago), but still with 10 days off and no more new jets in sight, it could get pretty stressful for you (both commutability and financially). I remember when I was on reserve, and was able to make only minimums plus nominal per diem, and that ain't pretty (around $1500/mo.)

On the top side, if you can start to hold a line, our average line averages quite high, around high 80 hours to low 90 hours, and it helps out a lot financially. So with about 200 hours of per diem, you should be able to get at least $2000/mo. It's still not much rosier, but it's a start. Honestly, I think our 2nd FO pay is bloody low, and i would not vote for a TA that doesn't increase that significantly. With our bases, MEM is our most senior base, DTW is our most junior, with lots of growth (for the time being). DTW also has the most commuter "friendly" lines. MSP is just somewhere in the middle, most lives in town. Anyway, hope the above helps, and welcome to pinch-nickel airlines, where our motto is "Never compromise savings!"
