JOB SUMMARY
Job exists to transport Southern Company Executives, designated employees and business associates while conducting business for the company. This position is to fly company helicopter in transporting company executives, employees and business associates to conduct business on behalf of Southern Company and its subsidiaries. Position will also require successful candidate to fly as copilot on company Learjet 45 aircraft.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
· ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) helicopter required
· Commercial pilots certificate, Airplane with Multi Engine Land Rating and Instrument Rating required
· First Class Aviation Medical Certificate required
· Minimum Flight Time:
· 3000 hours total time required
· 2000 hours helicopter time required of which 1500 hours must be as PIC (Pilot In Command)
· 500 hours of Turbine (helicopter, turbo prop or jet) required
· Twin engine turbine helicopter experience desired
· Sikorsky-76 experience desirable
· Learjet-45 experience desirable
· Corporate FAR Part 91 experience desirable

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• College Degree desirable

Experience Requirement:

• Must have extensive aviation background
• Must meet minimum experience listed above
• Corporate aviation experience in FAR Part 91 operations desirable.

• Must be able to interact appropriately with executive level customers

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· To transport Executives, employees and guests safely and efficiently in company helicopters and airplanes.
· To plan all aspects of corporate flights in company aircraft including preflight responsibilities, weather assessment and flight planning.
· To be mentored and trained by existing experienced pilots employed by Southern Company Services.
