Found this on Aviation employment board:

Exclusive private operator catering to high profile elite cliental based in Miami seeks two current qualified Hawker 800 captains and first officers; perfect job for right person. Captain must be can do, hard worker and customer oriented able to deal with upscale clients and still be PIC.

The perfect candidate will have extensive PIC experience domestic and international in a non sked operation. Hands on, take charge, know the ropes. No three AM phone calls, how do I get maintenance in Podunct. We have GPSs and some glass but don't use it, we like gauges. This is a new upbeat operation looking for professionals to join our team. Initially part time until FAR 135 in place so local candidates are encouraged to apply. Full time in near future.

Care to comment, anyone?

Whoever wrote this ad sounds like a J-AZZ! I read this job posting a while back and laughed to myself. I really thought it was a joke. NO THANK YOU!

Seems like they don't know their Hawker 800. The 800's have dual GPS FMS and 5 EFIS tubes. Its EFIS isn't to brag about.

If they don't use it, then I guess they fly using the standby instruments. hmmm.....

It doesn't sound like a promising place to be.

Sounds like their way of saying "everything stays broke all the time and we don't bother to fix it so just shut up and fly the turd"............."and fix me a turkey pot pie!!!!"

xswann, are you high? The Efis is nothing to brag about? WEll, I'll concede it's not the same setup in as the 777, but come on, Nz2000 boxes and 5 tube efis, that pretty **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** nice. I fly an 800 and the Efis is very nice. GIV has the same setup, though its screens are a little larger, but all in all, it is a very nice system. If we get into XPs with the Collins, then we have something that is something to brag about. Lets not indict all 800 and assume their EFIS is crap, as that is just not the case.

Relax...

To answer your question, I am not high.

First of all the G-IV doesn't have the same setup. Second, the 800's EFIS is a fairly old system. I'm not calling it "crap". It does the job. I rather fly that then the steam gauges. Obviously, you couldn't figure that out from my previous post.

It wasn't my intend to upset someone overly sensitive like yourself over this.

Ok, What's the difference in the Honeywell G4 setup and the 800's with Honeywell besides the size of the screens? Not talking Auto-throttles or anything like that, strickly FMS? I said it had the same setup except the screen size, so please learn me wise one of the difference in the Nz-2000s?

This means "if you want it fixed you need to do it yourself".

I'm incorrect...

You know what? I'm wrong. There are no differences in the EFIS and FMS except for screen size. Functions are the same. The G-IV has a regular non-EFIS altimeter. The FMS can't calculate T/O and Landing numbers in different configurations. Can't display TCAS in map mode to name a few. Hmmm, let me think of some more similarities.

OK, now I'm sure have a reply for me. Again, I'm not saying the 800 is crap in any shape or form.

You are correct. And, I will no longer waste my time.
