I'm soliciting comments from those with experience in both types...

I'm aware of basic performance considerations/differences, but am wondering if there are some other solid reasons to go with an 800A over the older 700. Thanks guys/gals!

Personaly i would go for an Hawker 800A, looking at Amsat there are some good deals where i know some companies would sell with a OK offer on the table, just to get out of a jet they can't afford anymore.

Market Value on the 700 has dropped in the last 12months, where as the 800 has remained somewhat stable, you can pick up a 700 from anywhere around $1.7 to $2.5milllion Vs a 800 from about $3.9 to $5.2 million depending on year, TT, inspections etc....

That's my feeling as well. I just need good hard ammunition - a 'silver bullet' if you will. Those operating costs from CL601 are a good start. I'm trying to help a client get with a broker so I'm bridging the gap so to speak.

800 gets my vote

Go with the newer airplane if you can. Less headaches in the long run.

The honey bucket has an external dump valve. No worries about blue juice on the carpet like on the 700.

RVSM is a costly retrofit, avionics, autopilot, RNAV is much better on the 800.

and hey, you get an extra window!
