Can a Hawker 800 take off from a 5500 ft runway with 8 pax, fuel for two hours + reserve, 1500 MSL and 30 degrees C?

Thanks

It would be close, but I think it could. Especially fueling for the trip you're speaking of. We operated them from a field just over 6000' and from what I remember we were good for full fuel + 4 passengers up to around 90 F. Any hotter than that fuel starting coming off.

I could be somewhat off as it has been 3 years.

Ground Pounder, we are close neighbors, I could find out the answer for you and Pm you if you if like, I;m sure the plane could take off, but how far are you going, and do the fuel gages work? Are the passengers children or overweight? Is it part 91? What does the manual say? I could really find out the answer for you, from an experienced Hawker Captain out of Fort Lauderdale Executive, 17,000. Let me know. Thank you.

Just for planning purposes, I would say probably. I only have the 800XP FSI tab data in front of me. With the slightly higher thrust engines and the different wing, it should do more than the 800A. Here's the XP numbers anyway, if that helps.

BOW 16,500
Pax + bags 1,600
Fuel 5,400 3,500 for about a 2 hour flight + 300 for APU & taxi.
Ramp weight 23,500

You'll land with about 1,600 lbs of fuel. (1 hour at normal cruise or allmost 1 1/2 hrs. at holding speed.

23,500 TOW at 2,000' elevation Flaps 15 zero wind level, dry runway:

Temp Runway reqired (BFL)
40 C 5250
35 C 4890
30 C 4580

Assume that it will be be a much closer thing to haul this load in a straight 800. When someone checks in with those numbers, the question will be answered. I suspect it could work though, even though you may have to go to the spaghetti charts in the book. Ultranav is godsend in Hawkers!

Best,

Using my nifty ultranav for our 800A, no T/Rs:
BOW: 15800
Fuel: 5000 lbs
Pax: 8 @ 175 + 300 lbs bags
Std. day, 30C, no wind
MSL 1500'
T/O 22500
5100' rwy, no climb restrictions
At 23K and 35C: 500 lbs over

Great work hawkerflyer!

Ain't Ultranav Great?

So it looks as though Groundpounder has his answer. As long as it's VFR at both ends of the trip anyway! Seems like we make allmost every takeoff near the limits all summer long. Tools like Ultranav and APG aero are essential, especially in Hawkers, with their challenging performance charts. At Hawker training events, this is proven time and again by the "spread" of answers to the given performance problems during the perf section of the ground training. Value of D indeed!

Best,

Oh yeah. Wouldn't know what to do without it.
Recurrent with the VofD charts makes me wanna slit my wrist.
As far as I'm concerned, the best invention since, well, the orga$m...
