Hawaiian recorded a full year of profits by announcing a record profit for March, and 1Q 2004.

Before everyone jumps on me about HA being in bankruptcy, they are paying 100% of all current debts and costs, including aircraft leases.

Yes there's a long road ahead with the bankruptcy still to be decided. But with substantial and realistic profits like this, there are more and more groups interested in the bidding process for Hawaiian, all with large amounts of capital ready to pour in for expansion and more planes.

Hi everyone, it's Dave!

If I were in charge, once again, I'd have to jump right in and fix the central problem facing Hawaiian. Expansion and more planes is simply not the course to take at such a critical time. I believe we need to control costs, and use that capital to bring in the finest management team possible. I find that I now have a great opportunity to lend my expertise and experience to help Hawaiian navigate through these treacherous waters.

If the price is right, I might even be willing to put my book deal on hold.

I'll talk to you next week.
