Have you seen this crash?

A couple years ago The Discovery Channel ran a program on airplane crashes. One piece of footage showed a Jetstream looking aircraft plunge into a mountain lake.

It was a twin turbo-prop from a long distance shot coming at the camera. It appeared to be a spiral dive into the water--very violent.

Does anyone know the history behind that accident?

I do remember seeing that on the Discovery Channel. I believe the crash you describe happened somewhere in Africa.

I remember seeing it, for some reason I thought it was a t-tail turboprop, something like a dash 8...of course with age my memory starts to go.

Was that the crash where I think a pilot stole the aircraft, flew it around the airport, possibly doing loops, then crashed it

I remember seeing footage of a DCH7 spiral into the ground. Might be another crash.

It was over a lake, and he plunged into the water doing a steep spiral. The plane was in a significant nose down attitude.

It might have been a mountain lake, I remember hills in the background and it was hazy.
