Does Haliburton have a flight dept?
I cannot find it in the book I have....

Also do you think the process of rebuilding in Iraq will increase the flying ?

Do you think the Concordes going out of service will have any effect of corporate flying as far as chartering goes?

Halliburton used to have a couple of Gulfstreams at Hobby (HOU).

Iraq, no. However if rebuilding Iraq helps the economy then yes there will be an increase in flying.

Concorde, no. It has such a small niche that its not really significant, just think how many passengers rode on it just to say they flew at Mach 2 and never flew on it again. Of the business travelers it had there is still a significant price difference in buying a $6000 roundtrip on the Concorde and chartering something for $40,000 (1 way).

not to be picky but....

roundtrip concorde....... $13,000

GIV/V roundtrip charter......usually around $75,000

but heck, its just money...

whoops...hit reply too quick...
anyways...

I see many big companies flying to Iraq ASAP to get in on the fat money those folks sit on....Baghdad Intl' here I come (great)....

The concorde thing? I think once it crashed it was over and done, unfortunalty...plus each time it flew things kept coming off the **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** thing (rudder, etc..)

I think business travelers would rather sit first or business class on Virgin before a seat on the concorde. Having done both Virgin wins hands down....

Still was kind of hoping they would keep flying until a replacement came.....didnt Boeing cancel its program recently??

too bad..

If they can build it we can sell it.

Both Santulli and owner Warren Buffett are anxious for a manufacturer to build a successful SSBJ. They figure if even at $100 million a plane, NetJets could sell 100 of them via fractional ownership. When the Concorde was grounded in 2000, many of our owners were calling in and asking about the progress of a SSBJ and showing huge interest in alternative speedy travel to the concorde. I enjoy the Falcon 2000 (although its French) immensly, but look forward to flying the first SSBJ around the globe. Hopefully in less than 8 years as many manufacturers have indicated.

I think the "plan" was to sell 250 BBJ's also......

anyways..

That would be neat if a SSBJ ever comes to reality. Somehow I doubt it, but you never know. Eight Years from now? NO WAY.
I guess I have about 30 more years of flying left, hopefully by the time Im done I would get a chance to fly one...

Probably the first plane will be from Halliburton....
I haven't seen much from our vice president Cheney lately, I guess he's already warming up the seats in the Gulfstream, ready for the all-safe signal from baghdad, so he can inspect the troops (the ones in the tan or green camouflage and the ones in the blue / black oil stained coveralls
