The same reasoning behind this hiring is exactly what it was the last time. The position is a PIC in both the 35 and the 60. The 60 is where we have no-one qualified with the required hours of time in type and pic in type. We have plenty of guys who would love to take the 35 pic spot, but they must also be able to fly pic in the 60. So once again, we must go to the street and hire. Kinda sucks because the company will not help its current pilots be able to reach the requirements, it would rather hire of the street. Oh well, SH!T happens.

yea, thats what i figured happened. i recall last time, i knew a few guys (who have since moved on) that were pissed off that street hiring was going on. they felt thats why they signed on, was for the Lear oppurtunities.

...but then again, 4000TT with 200 in-type and 100PIC kinda eliminates the majority i s'pose :(

i was however, suprised to see the 20 proposed slots, are y'all moving that much over there???
