What are the Gulfstream travel benefits with Continental? Do you get buddy passes on CO? How about cockpit jumpseat? Any info from GIA pilots would be appreciated. Just trying to compare connection to express to mainline to see how the travel benefits compare. Thanks

Dont know a thing about gulfstream, but at expressjet (continental express) we get the same passes as mainline...10 bucks domestic (one way), 30 to carribean/mexico/s america/ canada..not sure what cost is to europe/asia...we also get 2 vacation passes per year which allow you to list in 1st class and have no charge (you can fly anywhere in system)...your date of hire determines what prioirty you have to get on the flight on any pass (expressjet and cal are considered the same...example if there is a cal employee with 3 yrs , and an express employee with 5 years at xjet, the xjet guy gets on first) we also get jumpseat on cal before any other carriers (cal goes before express on cal, and express before cal on express)...commutair can ride in cockpit jumpseat at express and mainline, but they get the same priority as any other offline company...gulfstream CANNOT jumpseat in the cockpit on express or cal...as far as buddy passes...we get 10/yr..good on cal and expressjet...100 bucks +cost of taxes on full fare ..goodus/canada/carribean....better off buying a discount ticket on priceline..usually 20-50 bucks more but at least you have a guaranteed seatour pass aggreement is good for (i think) 3-4 more years at which time they will "re-evaluate" it...what it will be then , who knows

Plus at Gulfstream, you get the added bennifit of everyone laughing at you when you jumpseat and asking how much you paid for your job.

i think we have about 400 cal/coex guys on furlough...they just had 2 classes for recalled pilots this month..but the rest of the classes were cancelled as cal will be furloughing about 200 pilots,,,all which will be able to flow down to express and displace express pilots...were all just hoping that this will not cause the recalled pilots to be furloughed again. we are still taking about 3-4 145 xr's a month, so hopefully based on staffing required per aircraft they should all be back in 2004.
