I'm planing on going the the March 14th skywest group interview at ORD. Just wanted to hear from anyone that has recently attended a group interview of what went on. Is it still a company overview, ATP, Mechanical test, and a brief HR interview? No one has gotten a full blown or mini technical correct?

Thanks for the help

I was told by a very senior, highly respected captain that they take you in a dark room with a goat and paddle.

Its the easiest thing ever. Just show up, they show you the video, answer any of your questions then they take you in the dark room with the goat like my fellow Illini mentioned. No, they interview you one on one, ask the mandatory HR questions like have you been fired? broken FARs? dui, etc... then some basic "why should we hire you, why SKW, etc..." Just answer the questions. No other examination at all, besides the goat and the paddle.

Thanks, my parole officer said the judge will determine tomorrow if I am allowed to leave the state for only work purposes.

J Tschoppe is still there? My God I graduated in 1997 and she was there. Does she still have the shark jaws on the wall? Is R Kere still there?

Did someone mention a dead hooker and a goat? Who forgot you invite me to the party?!?

Unfortunetly yes. Thanks to her I got a 4.5 hrs oral checkride for my CFII, i was about to shoot myself at the end. Half of that time was me arguing with her about how the ADF in the airplane worked... what a nightmare.

I tried to get your attention, but you looked like you were having too much fun with that wet/dry vac and bottle of moonshine!

What can I say? Starting off a Sunday morning by going to church just didn't do it for me anymore...

sorry to bump this thread up (the nerves have got me going as this is my first interview) but I just wanted to make sure the tech stuff isn't going to be drilled until the interview in SLC. I'm pretty sure thats how it's going but I've read some gouges from years past and they did the entire interview during the cattle call. Sorry... just a bit tense

If you meet the mins and don't set off any alarm bells during the meet and greet, you will be invited to SLC to do the sim and HR/tech. That being said, the earlier you prepare yourself, the better off you will be. Too many people have been showing up unprepared in SLC thinking "SkyWest is understaffed, they need pilots, this will be a cakewalk." Guess what, by and large, that gets you shown the door.
