More importantly, are they striking?

Colgan?!? Go with tradition...Go with LAAAAAKES!!!!!

Nice fleet and pretty pilots....no, really , I swear I've met some of the cutest pilots at LAAAAKES. Fortunately I'm happily married, otherwise who knows? But if you're single....that's where I'd go!
We're talking about strapping in next to someone for 12-14 hours and it would be a breeze next to one of the Lakes-Ladies! GRRRR!

There were quite a few good looking ladies at Lakes when I first started there back in the begnning of 2000 but most had left by the end of the year. I worked for Lakes for 3.5 years and things were never as good as they were that first year. Maybe things have changed...but wow...who could ever forget "puddles"? :D

Is Colgan ever gonna dump those 1900C's. Seems like they are the only ones left with C Models.

Great Lakes Hiring

I would assume Lakes is hiring.....I have an interview scheduled Tuesday and Thursday was offered to me as well. Anyone else get the call?

How are you suppossed to survive on their pay? I had a friend tell me that yearly salary there is around 10K in the right seat? Also, heard about the two brothers who live in a "winnebago" and lease the back portion out as a crash pad.:D Can anyone confirm this?

10K a year! I agree our pay sucks a**, but your buddy is sniffing paint, it's not that low. As for the R.V., they live out of state and use it as a crashpad when they can't get home. Pretty smart actually.

Lakes Crashpad Stories

I remember back in '94 when I was based in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Four of us rented a single-wide mobile home in some little town about 15 miles south of FOD. $150 per month (total for all four of us.) Population of the town: 19 people when two of us were on a trip. Oh, how I miss the smell of well-water in the morning; and driving my ol' 280Z through a driving snow storm to the airport! Those were the good old days at Lakes.

P.S. Back then we were lucky to have a C-model; there were still plenty of B-models on the property.

P.S.S. Hey Homer Jay: fifty bucks says that your wife will never hear about Puddles. ;)

Yes , to confirm GLA is hiring and should continue to hire for the next few months, starting FO pay is $15.30/hr around $26/hr for 1st year Capt. We are in the process of negotiating new contract.

Any yes there are two brothers that have a motor home that they use for a crash pad. to my knowledge they do not lease it out.

Thats quite funny! It'll make some good storys to the kids a years down the road for those 2. I've heard aother story, but maybe later.

Those of you going for interviews, how long have you had your resumes in and is there any way to submit one if you haven't already?
