Hello, I am trying to send a cover letter and resume to Great Lakes and I need to know how to spell the name or the H.R. lady. Is it Christine Smith? Thanks for your help.

Good luck and best wishes with all of that. DEN is a fun place to fly a 1900 out of.

Thanks

Thanks a lot guy I appreciate it. I don't meet the mins for GLA yet but I figured I'd give it a shot. I am originally from Denver, and I have a lot of family there so I'd love to go back. Unfortunately I don't know anyone at GLA, which is probably the only way to get on there with my time. If you have any suggestions I'd appreciate them, thanks again!

Luke

You might want to address the cover letter to the C.P. Aaron Rex. Good guy who's office is at DEN. Though you should stil send it to Cheyenne. The published mins are broken all the time and they have hired well below them.

Good luck. The people at Lakes really make it what it is! The company sucks and chits on everyone, which in turn bonds the pilot group. You will never fly with a better pilot group than you will at Lakes. Oh ya, and get the good insurance if you go over, liver transplants are getting expensive these days!! Lakes drives you to drinking!! Good luck!

be-400xp,
Thanks for the advice I'll do that. I have heard they hire below their posted mins but do you have to know someone for that to happen, because my hours are nothing to brag about by any means. Thanks again!

Luke

gt1900,
Sounds good, if I get lucky and get on with them I'll get that insurance lol. The pilots sound like a great group of guys though, I think I could live with that since I wouldn't spend much time with management hopefully. Thanks man!

Depends on how serious you are. When I wanted to work there I drove up to cheyenne walked in and asked to see the C.P. I had a little interview there then followed buy a real one the next week and in class the week after. I did not meet the minimum multi time but I had plenty of total time. Now that the C.P. is in Concorse A at DEN you would have to get through security then get a pilot or gate agent to let you see him. Good Luck. Like it has previously been said great pilot crappy managment, and crappy shedules, but alot of great people.

Bit of a silly question. Is the HR person still Christine Smith? Thanks.

anyone have a idea what Mr. Aaron Rex's e-mail address is?

Rumor has it he surfs this very board looking for Lakers who bash the company!! Just post a thread, attention: Chief Pilot Rex, Great Lakes!! and have him IM you. This will probably be the easiest way to reach him!!!

I dont think he searches this board...He is very very gay and rumor is that he likes the gay chat lines. Rex you silly boy

How is GLA's staffing right now?? Are they on the verge of the "annual furlough" I am seriously thinking of crawling back to Rex sniveling and begging for forgiveness at not taking that class date. The paycut would be worth it as I am from the GRI EAR area and I would be able to be home a s***load more.

Thanks

Wishful thinking

Well I sent my resume to Cheyenne 3 weeks ago, and no response. I do meet their minimums now. So yesterday I woke up and decided that I was going to jump seat to Denver to walk my stuff in to Aaron Rex. I met with a bunch of the pilots, awesome guys! I waited a few hours but Aaron didn't show up so I left my resume with a guy right by his office. So hopefully he'll get it and hopefully I'll get a call soon, I'm pacing by the phone. Tick Tick Tick Tick... any suggestions gentlemen?

Don't know. I don't think cheyenne knows, unless the dart hits "run new ground school" on their decision board.

Don't insult the folks in Cheyenne. They don't use a dart board to make decisions, the have a scientific method that removes the human error from the process. The have two large dice that they write on then then roll. That way there decisions are totally random.

Yep, and those fuzzy ones are hard to roll.
