Great deal on Bose X until Apr 12th

I've been doing some research on headsets and I found this at Marv Golden in SD. The Bose X may be the same price as other places but you get a free cd/mp3 player that you can use or sell on EBay. There is one currently on Ebay going for $115. That's like getting the Bose for $885 - Not Bad...

Anyone have any suggestions on how to play Ipod on Bose X (other than the buds under the headphone?) Is the sound better through the Bose than the buds?

BTW - Just went to www.bose.com and the same deal is available until April 13th. Also 0% finance if you want that as well. I even think the shipping and sales tax are free. Not a bad gig if you ask me.

I've got almost 700 hours on the Bose and it's awesome. Even listening to Ipod/XM/CD through the audio panel through the noise of the intercom system and slight noise of the plane that gets through the Bose you hear subtle stuff in the music that you didn't hear before.

The Bose financing is great too, you don't even have to mail in a payment.. they just charge that monthly payment to a credit card on file. Awesome if you ask me.

Not to mention, my CPA either deducted it or fully depreciated it on taxes last year since it's either used at work or for my freelance flight instruction/contract pilot business. Sweet.

I use the Muse by PS Engineering. It works well and has a soft mute feature that mutes the music when the radio or intercom has activity (I don't use this feature). I think these retail for about $169, mine was $130 used on eBay. Sporty's also has an adapter for about $100. I haven't used it so can't comment.

Can't go wrong with the Bose X. Had one for 5 years at the USFS...bought my own in Dec. $82 a month on the old credit card. I told the wife, $1000 bucks now or $5000 hearing aids in a couple of years. The math looked good to her!

Just off the phone w/ Bose - they will also throw in FREE 2 day delivery (normally $20.) I'm still not sure if this is the perfect headset for my use but with a 30 day trial I'll soon find out! Hope to have the headset for Mondays trip!

You'll forget about the 30 day trial the first time you use it.

The Bose folks are great about how you want your headset... for instance, I wanted coiled cord, dual plugs for airplane and they did it no extra charge.

UPS dropped off the package including the MPS player 45 minutes ago - it took less than 24 hours to get to the door...Amazing! Can't wait to give it a try. I borrowed a friends for my 135 ride the other day and loved it - we'll see how 30 days of use is...Baja.
