Are these guys still around? I know they were Tri-Coastal last I checked. But it's been pretty quite over there. Did they get shut down (finally) or are they still out there terrifying pilots and pissing off the FAA?

They are still flying, only 2 Falcon's left flying as of the last time I heard.

Grand Aire / Tricoastal

They are still around, and business is good for them. No more crazy operations going on there. They have a good Chief Pilot / DO who is keeping them in check with the Feds so that they keep out of trouble there. Maintenance has gotten better since the old days.

They are actually looking to bring another falcon online, one or two lear 24's and possibly an Aerostar. So from the people I know flying there and working there, business is good, and getting better.

That's good to hear. I just can't imagine why a company would continue to be a peace of sh*t! Sounds like they are coming around. Good luck guys and gals!

They keep paying us in Falcon parts. Pretty soon we'll own all their parts and planes the way it's been going.

Grand Aire never had problems with the FAA as far as operations went. Their only FAA infractions were all maintenance related and most of them were minor paperwork errors.
Business is good for Grand Air Inc, the air charter management arm of the company. Grand Aire was the 135 certificate that merged with Executive Aire Express and then changed names to TriCoastal.
