I posted this in the other thread but I am so glad to get it over with. I was getting so burned out. Nothing like every single day, climbing to 400 feet and hearing, "I've got the controls, put your hood on". MAN, I can't wait too see stuff again. I'll start commercial next week. 15 lessons in the 172 and 17 or so in the Arrow. Hopefully, it's a little easier than the instrument rating.

Hey, man, congrats....seriously it's the most useful rating you'll ever have. The other ratings just mean that you can do more stuff for $$ and with more people behind you. But the INST. is the one rating that you'll carry the most knowledge away from as far as airman skills. Enjoy and be safe.....and please remember: Ma Nature still holds ALL 4 ACES. It's never worth going no matter what they're paying.

Congrats! I just got mine 2 weeks ago, and filed for the first time today. Great feeling isn't it??

About a week after my instrument checkride I filed IFR for a cross country in absolutely beautiful weather for no reason other than I could. It was indeed a very good feeling. Congratulations on passing the checkride, now go out and use it!
