What are some cool airports to fly into in NJ and NY? Will be taking off from central NJ and looking for something within a 1.5 hr flt in a small piper. Looking for nice scenery and a good restaurant.

tnx

FRG on the island has a cool restaurant/bar on the field. ANP should be within 90 mins of central jersey. MTP or BID are great too...probably closer to two hours though.

I forget the identifier, but the old-school restaurant at Montgomery County N.Y. has a nice apple pie with the requisite scoop of ice cream on top. That's no more than 30 minutes from TEB, so I can't imagine it'd be too far from Central Jersey.

Have fun.

KVAY..South Jersey Regional is a nice little airport to fly into and has a small but pretty good restaurant. I haven't been there, but I have heard that Sky Manor in Pittstown, NJ (N40) has one of the better airport restaurants in the state.

26N - Ocean City, NJ...close to the beach, has a cafe and mini golf.
12N - Andover Aeroflex, NJ...1900ft runway, inbetween two lakes, in a state park. Bring your fishing pole!

Many of the airports in NW jersey are nice...in the hills, lakes, just nice little airfields.

I suggest TEB, not much traffic, friendly people, lots of good resturants in the area, and cheap fuel!

Sorry, I forgot it is located in the scenic meadowlands area.

Stop by MMU and see Puff Daddy's G4, or is it P-Diddy, or Diddy; what a retard.

WWD - Wildwood, old navy field, used to have a warbird restoration shop but I think it may be gone, little cafe on field, quick cab to shore.

Second Ocean City for the same reasons the other poster mentioned, brush up in x-wind landings though.

Bader - just land and a cab will be waiting take you to all casinos, boardwalk and crackhead hookers you want.

South Jersey - nice museum.

Flying W - airplane shaped pool, best restaurant along with the one at Sky manor.

Sky manor - great restraunt, watch out for the power lines

Millville- has a cafe and small museum, old P-47 training base.

Morristown MMU - roam around behind and about the hangars and remote sections of the ramp and you just may see the Mafia going about their bizz. Tell Tony I said Hi. Do the same at Caldwell and Linden.

Princeton - meet the worlds meanest FBO lady.

In PA - close to NJ, there is reading - great restraunt and on the 3rd you can fly into the airshow also has a museum

N99 - brandywine - has helo museum

PNE - 94th aero squadn plus craskheads and hookers on Rosevelt Blvd just off airport. Also Rosevelt Blvd and Grant Ave and Rosevelt Bldv and Red Lion Road - both road intersections just off the airport are the 2 most dangerous intersections in America according to insurance company data. Time to test drive that crew car.

Are you flying out of BLM or Robbinson?

Great list LearLove
