The following item is recorded on both the Piedmont and Allegheny hotlines.

Today, the MEC chairmen and vice-chairmen of Piedmont, Allegheny and USAirways and Captain Duane Woerth, President of the Air Line Pilots Association met in Washington DC with Dr. David Bronner, CEO of Retirement Systems of Alabama and Chairman of USAirways’ Board of directors, and prominent board members Mr. Bruce Lakefield and Ms. Maggie Jacobson. Captain Pollock, USAirways MEC Chairman also acted in his capacity as a member of the Board of Directors.

Weeks in the making, this initial meeting was productive, and we are encouraged by the refreshing candidness of the dialogue. Because of the sensitive nature of the issues, and for competitive reasons details will remain confidential at this time.

The MECs of Piedmont and Allegheny wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who facilitated this process, and the joint support of our pilots.

Yup.... It would seem that you are....

:)

Hopefully ALG and PDT WILL get some good news for once....

yeah i hope so too col., but i'mnot holding my breath,
supposedly some of the guys that were gonna get furloughed in oct were recently told they aren't now, but theres no official notice of it at this time, just wait and see...

Someone will have to cover the flying that SA is going to be getting rid of soon.

Plus, I was reading a few days ago that the City of PIT and Airways was having a big pi$$ing match over the leases at PIT, and that Airways was threatening to leave when the leases expire on 07JAN04.

Let's hope the Allegheny and Piedmont guys get on with better airlines with better prospects soon - it is painful to watch - kinda like SA... I hope that PSA, CHQ and Comair are kind to the Dash pilots.

Good luck!

I really hope that there is some good news
for the wholy owneds over at US Airways.
Got a couple of friends at piedmont and
have been concerned for them...That
mainline is showing Mesa, TSA and others
preferential treatment over their own
people is just wrong. Sick and wrong!
