I recently accepted a position flying a small jet for a corporate outfit and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good luggage manufacturer that is reasonably priced.

Thanks for the help.

I'd suggest a search of the topic. There was a thread not too long ago.

Bottom line: People here like everything from Costco to Tumi. I'm a Swiss Army kinda guy myself. Purdy Neat Things work well, too.TC

For what it's worth...
I personally prefer hardsided luggage for my personal bags. The hard side will keep out the rain, when you're loading bags in the weather. I've also know guys who had fuel leaks back in the aft compartment and their soft-sided bags got fuel on (in) them. It's impossible to deordorize them after that. I've had a Samsonite piece for over 10 years. Actually I'm surprised it's lasted this long - that's over 2 million miles in corporate jets' baggage compartments, a few dozen long road trips, and innumerable airline flights. (It's checking them with the airlines where they really get beat up.)

Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at the brands you mentioned. I know I'll be getting airlined to and from the plane on a semi-regular basis, so hard sided will probably be the way to go.

Look at Purdy Neat Stuff... They make great pilot bags and they last a long time

Oh, and one more thing...
Samsonite also makes a line of ballistic nylon computer bags that work very well. I've used one to carry around my laptop, Canon portable printer, power supplies, etc for 5 or 6 years. We just bought another for the Falcon's laptop and printer. They're not that expensive - I bought mine at Staples.

If you live near a Costco it's a no brainer...I take the sum'bitch back every 11 months and get a new one. Purdy Neat Bags are nice, but heavy.

Why? does Costco have a 12 month no questions warranty?
