Hey guys, anybody got the scoop on North Bend, Ore.? We're going there for the weekend in a couple weeks. Just curious what the good hotel(s) are in town. Thanks!

weekend in Oregon

Do not stay in North Bend. Just South is a small
town called Bandon. Stay at the Bandon Inn. Old , but nice. All rooms have balconies that overlook the small town and harbor. Short walking distance to the Pacific or town. Just look up the Bandon Inn on the net.

Bandon is only a short drive from OTH and if you don't have a car
the cab fare is more than reasonable.

North Bend, OR sucks! That town just drains all the life out of you. The best hotel in North Bend is the casino, The Mill http://www.themillcasino.com/index.shtml. There really isn't anything to do in OTH.

Since you're going there that probably means your principle is playing golf at the Bandon Dunes. Bandon Dunes is a world class links style golf course(s), with great rooms, and great food (http://www.bandondunesgolf.com/).

There is a limo company called Connoisseur, otherwise the nice FBO, Ocean Air, also has a van service.

If you're flying something small there is a closer airport called Bandon State (never been there, but every year 'Can we fly into that airport in Bandon?' ......Nope).

If I were you, I'd take a Hertz rental car and get the hell out of dodge.

Good advice, but you can also get rooms at Bandon Dunes & some are pretty reasonably priced. I'd recommend that over staying in Bandon or North Bend/Coos Bay. Great food, plus a cigar store, and you can walk to the beach. Very, very nice there this time of year.
