MONTREAL (CP) - Bombardier Aerospace has received a $317-million US order for 10 CRJ700 regional jets from GoJet Airlines of St. Louis, Mo.

Bombardier said Monday that GoJet also has taken options on an additional 40 CRJ700 aircraft, which would bring the value of the total order to $1.61 billion US if all options were exercised. GoJet is a subsidiary of Trans States Holdings, Inc. and will operate the aircraft under the United Express banner.
The order is a shot in the arm for Bombardier Aerospace, which is expected to announce later this week a new program for aircraft with 110 seats and over.
GoJet's version of the CRJ700 will have 66 seats in three classes: six first class seats, 28 "economy plus" and 32 regular economy seats.
As of Jan. 31, the end of its fiscal year, Bombardier (TSX:BBD.SV.B) had delivered 1,224 regional jets, most of them 50-seaters, to customers worldwide.
