I am leaving in June to go to the Mesa Az location for atpfllightschool. I have been reading a lot of your posts and from what I can tell, all the different locations are different, and if you really want to know how the school is you have to let people know which location you are going to. Has anyone gone to the Mesa location? I have about 7 hours of flight time, yes I'm a newbie. I am quitting an ok job that pays ok, sold my house, and paying a lot of money, and while most people have nothing but good to say about ATP, with this big change and all the money it is going to cost, I am of course nervous about going. Does anyone know about the Mesa location? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. I definately have my hat off to you guys, you are all doing something that a few months ago I thought would be impossible for me to do, and still have some aprehention about! I am mainly a "hands on" learner, and not great with bookwork, but got through college ok. I am hoping with the fast track program, I can pick it up. My current instructor told me that the fast tracks are better and easier to pick up. I also picked ATP because it seems like the money is great for what you get, I am also a single parent of a 4 year old so I am looking to get in and get it done! I am doing the private and career 5 month program. Thanks again.

Phoenix in general is a very nice area. New buildings, restaurants, promenades. I'm sure you know that it gets VERY hot, I don't know if you have experienced 110 degree heat. The most you could stay outside with no shade is probably like 15 minutes, after that it feels like your lungs will burn from breathing the hot desert air. Remember to drink plenty of water especially since your going to be flying there.
