After getting furloughed last year from a well respected regional airline that starts and ends with "A", I got two calls last month from COEX and Skywest. I am starting class in a couple weeks at COEX but still have an interview with Skywest in a week.

Should I even go the Skywest interview when they make you resign your recall rights and don't pay you while your in training? Atleast COEX respects the fact that your furloughed and pays you..............It just seems like a waste of time and effort? Anyone please tell me what you would do.

Where do you want to live? Are you interested in IAH-CLE-EWR? If not, you should probably go to the SkyWest interview. Never hurts to interview. Plus, your seniority number at ACA is worth exactly this: take your seniority number, divide it by a hundred, and buy that number of paper towels. Then use those paper towels to pick up after your dog relieves himself in the park, bundle it up real tight and light it on fire. That's what it's worth. I wouldn't sweat having to resign it.

By the way, COEX doesn't pay you in training either but they do provide you with a hotel room and a $1600 per diem check which helps defray the costs of being without a paycheck for a while.

LOL:D

I decided to take COEX. I called Skywest and they put me on a list to be called back in late summer.
