Anyone know who the Global Ex. job on Planejobs is? They are looking for a co-captain. PM me if you want to. They are out of the Atlanta somewhere.

No globals here anymore. It is probably in GQO, I know that someone there was looking for a Global pilot a while back.

Maybe somebody is getting a Global, but I am not aware of any based in Atlanta since Home Depot got rid of there's last year.

I have heard rumors of a Global in CHA area, wonder if someone in ATL is doing the staffing? Not to change the subject, but why did Home Depot get rid of theirs?

They got rid of it because they were supposed to replace it with a G-V. They sent everyone to school on it and then the bean counters said that they needed to put a hold on all aircraft purchases for a while because they just went through some cutbacks on staffing in other areas. It didn't seem right to do that and then go and buy a new 45 mil jet!

770 area code

I think that opening could be anywhere, the fax number is for Plane Jobs to use as a clearing tool for members only to send resumes.

The same reason Toyota and many others got rid of theirs - dispatch reliability. Home despot was a former Gulfstream operator that was seduced into buying a Global by heavy discounting. They soon discovered that in aviation as in all else - you get what you pay for.

There is a lot of truth to that post. They had some gear trouble with the wrong person on board is why the Global went up for sale!
