Anyone know if Airnet/Ram air freight/freight runners express count glider time towards there minimums? If I meet all the 135 min's but 300 hours is in gliders as a CFI-G, would that be looked down upon? I am also a cfii/mei if that matters.

I don't know. But I would think at least some, if not all, would count. Pt 135.243c says nothing about what the time requirements must be in- simply that if you are doing work in an airplane, that you have a commercial instrument category, type or be an ATP. I would call or email each prospective employer and ask. It is flying time.

Thats what I was thinking. I see many of the freight op's like Airnet and Ram air have there minimums set at the IFR 135 mins which would allow for a good part of my glider time to be counted.

Now Im not Mr. Reg Quoter, but there is nothing in there that stipulates 1200 hours must be in engine-driven a/c. As long as you meet the 1200tt, 500cc 100night and 75 act/sim, you meet the requirements. Some glider time is respectable time, as long as you have a bunch of powered time as well it won't look fishy.

Then again the fact remains that most glider pilots are huge dorks... but im sure you arent one of those brimmed-hat toolboxes!!!
