I guess I am getting old since I now need to use glasses. Does anyone have any experience using glasses with transitions lenses. I was told that they would not turn dark unless you were outside. Is this correct????

Thanks

Yep, that is correct. I have transitions and they don't change when flying so I have an additional clip on shade that I leave in my flight kit and use when I fly.

Transition lenses get darker with UV rays, thus outside getting darker. The aircraft's windows have a UV film for protection, therefore they will not get darker in the plane.
